The Adventure to Machu Picchu

The Trip to Machu Picchu was at first very difficult. We rode on a bus for 22hrs from Lima to Cusco and Joshua and I both got sick, it was horrible. We stayed with family who were kind and welcoming, if you are remotely related they take care of you. We experienced real humble home life. Cold showers, great food, bugs in your bed. The next day we took a taxi from Cusco to Ollantaytambo where you pick-up the train that takes you to the City of Machu Picchu this is different from the ancient city on the mountain. Then you take a 30min. bus ride to the top of the mountain and enter the park. This is where the awesome wonder of Machu Picchu takes place.
